Forum: netlabels Subject: Sylvie Walder und Siegmar Fricke - Nahtod (ca131)

Nathod, or near-death-experience, is the phenomenon of absolute detachment from our actual being encompassed in fears, ego-mania, weaknesses and false wisdom. It leads to an out-of-body-experience offering the opportunity to watch the inner tree of life (Yggdrasil) from outside.

Nahtod, a collaboration between Sylvie Walder and Siegmar Fricke, intends to describe the withering of the tree of life as in neurosis or other traumatic states. Using the drones from Sylvie Walder as a basis for the electronic textures, Siegmar has constructed paranormal ambiences reflecting the different stages of detachment eventually leading to a new conscience gained in fear and pain. As the world is slowly collapsing outside, it is time to turn inwards. An acoustic sign for the world in its final stage.
